First Assistant Golf Professional
Quick Apply Full-time Part-time 2 days ago Full Job Description Overview Twin Lakes Village Golf Club, established in 1973, is seeking a seasonal First Assistant Golf Professional.
The golf course is owned by the Twin Lakes Village Property Owners Association, with 335 members, and is also open to the public.
The well-groomed 18-hole course adjacent to Lower Twin Lake features a complete practice facility and full-service Pro Shop.
Experience Required Minimum requirement is active pursuit (Level 1 or higher) of Class A certification.
Golf Genius tournament software, Excel and Publisher knowledge preferred but not required.
Seeking professional that is career-minded and wants to develop skills to become a Head Golf Professional/Director of Golf in the future.
Essential Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to:
Supervision of golf shop and outside service staff in absence of the Head Golf Professional or as assigned Create and ensure hospitality and good will among members and guests Represent TLV in a positive light, including attitude, appearance and courteousness Be proficient in all golf shop tasks, including booking tee times, collecting fees and selling merchandise Assist in administering tournaments and leagues, including implementation of the GHIN handicap system Organize and conduct a junior golf program, including PGA Jr.
League Assist in all aspects of merchandise management, including purchasing, inventory control and display Experience / Education / Certification Requirements:
High school diploma required at a minimum.
Valid Driver's License.
Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
to shoulder height repetitively.
Frequent bending, turning, kneeling and stooping.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Must be able to operate a golf cart and other equipment in a safe manner Normal vision and hearing ranges required.
Must be able to fluently speak and write the English language.
Note Twin Lakes Village Golf Club functions 7 days a week.
All employees must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift as business levels demand.
In addition, the employee must understand that business levels determine the amount of hours they work, and that at times may be scheduled to work less than 40 hours a week, and other times may be scheduled to work more than 40hours a week.
