Director of Nursing - RN

Orchard Ridge Senior Living has an immediate opening for a Director of Nursing for our Assisted Living, Dementia Care Facility.
This is an exempt full-time position.
Qualifications o Unencumbered RN license in the state of Idaho (or compact state license, or proof of pending licensure in Idaho by endorsement).
o Minimum of one year of nursing experience required.
o Geriatric experience preferred.
o Prior charge nurse/management experience preferred.
Essential Job Functions o Applies the nursing process appropriately.
o Maintains compliance with Idaho State Board of Nursing and Residential Assisted Living Facilities regulations.
o Performs delegation of all nursing functions, within scope of practice and per Idaho Board of Nursing Rules.
o Provides initial and ongoing education to caregiving and medication technician staff.
o Identifies training needs and develops education programs in coordination with Staff Development Coordinator.
o Provides clear and concise communication to family members, residents and providers as needed.
o Performs pre-admission assessments to approve/deny admission.
o Performs psychotropic medications reviews and physician order reviews every 6 months.
o Ensures timely completion of quarterly, comprehensive, annual assessments as well as resident follow-ups.
o Maintains awareness of MSDS materials, infection control practices.
o Oversees nursing personnel, assists in staff development, hiring, firing, disciplinary actions, performance evaluation, and determination of compensation.
o Monitors complaint reports daily for allegations of potential abuse or neglect, or the loss or misappropriation of resident property, and notifies Administrator to help launch investigations.
o Proactively develops positive employee relations, incentives, and recognition programs.
o Prepares for state surveys and participates as needed.
o Rotating on-call o Managing, communicating, and controlling the factors that affect the budget.
Training o Attends all required in-service training.
o Completes 8 hours per year of related continuing education needs.
Working Conditions (travel, hours, and environment) o Ability to work full time on a dedicated schedule.
o Participates in a rotating supervising on call schedule, compensated by additional paid time off.
Physical /Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices.
)Medium work- Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
CompensationCompensation DOE.
83K-88K/year.

About The Position o Dayshift, Full Time.
Monday-Friday.
o No required scheduled weekends or major holidays.
o Orchard Ridge is a nonprofit, faith-based senior living with assisted living and memory care.
We are licensed for up to 69 residents, split between two floors.
The upper level is Assisted Living, housing just over half our residents.
The lower level is a secure Memory Care, housing the remainder of residents.
o The Director of Nursing leads a team of 2 Charge Nurses, a resident care coordinator, a staff development coordinator, and 35
Caregiver/C.
N.
A's/Med Techs.
o Typically, there are 4-5 staff on the Assisted Living Floor and 6-7 staff in our memory care unit.
The night shift is typically staffed with 2 caregivers per floor and a float.
We also aim to staff shift lead Med Techs on each shift to help support the day-to-day non-nursing responsibilities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
